Charleston, W.Va. – West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture Kent Leonhardt
released the following statement following Governor Jim Justice's hiring of
Senator Ron Miller (D-Greenbrier). In his new role, Senator Miller will work on
agricultural issues. He resigned his seat Thursday to take his new position.
"I have always worked well with Ron. It
is refreshing to see that our state's leaders are finally taking agriculture
seriously. With the right team, I know agriculture will be a part of West
Virginia's comeback story," said Commissioner Leonhardt.
"We are moving full steam ahead to grow
agriculture in our state. I'm extremely happy the Governor is jumping on
board," continued Leonhardt.
